Mudd Laboratories South

South Mudd is home to Geological and Planetary Sciences offices, classrooms, and labs, including the Seismological Laboratory. The building is equipped with outdoor power feeds to accommodate news trucks for broadcasts, often of interviews about earthquakes with Caltech and USGS personnel. The facility was built with funds provided by Seeley G. Mudd, Mrs. Roland Lindhurst, Mr. and Mrs. Ross McCollum, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Salvatori, and the U.S. Department of Health Education and Welfare.
